Swinging Basics ?Oral Sex

The view to the safety sex barriers of oral sex differs greatly from one to another. From a medical point of view it is clear the genital herpes can be easily transmitted to another during unprotected oral sex. However, some will argue that if herpes sore are not visible or present at the time of oral sex, then it is not infectious and that there is a low risk of transmission.

Medical reports have show several cases of HIV being transmitted via oral sex, but may swingers in the community dismiss this concern because the risk of transmission via this route is relatively low (in their view).

Also, HIV is not widespread in their community. As a couple in the swinging community, it is up to each of you to set you own personal standards regarding the risks you and your partner are willing to take.
